The costs incurred in the operation of the Canteen/Rehab Services, also referred to as "Field Operations", are supported by the members themselves and by donations from private citizens, foundations, and business organizations. All of these donations are used to purchase equipment and supplies - our administrators and officers are all volunteers.

Individuals or organizations may express their appreciation for the efforts of the District of Columbia firefighters and emergency medical technicians by making a contribution to the Friendship Fire Association. All contributions are tax deductible, the Association having been granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service, and may be forwarded to the Association c/o Engine Co. 3, 439 New Jersey, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001.
